Biography

Peter Morén (born 5 May 1976 in Mora, Sweden) is a Swedish musician, singer, and songwriter. He is best known as the guitarist and vocalist of the indie rock trio Peter Bjorn and John, formed in Stockholm in 1999. Morén began his musical career playing violin before switching to guitar and later studying music in Västerås, where he met future bandmate Björn Yttling. While studying film science in Stockholm, he met John Eriksson, and the three later formed Peter Bjorn and John. In addition to his work with the band, Morén has released several solo albums, including “The Last Tycoon” (2008), “I Spåren Av Tåren” (2010), “Pyramiden” (2012), and “40” (2017). He is also a founding member of the Stockholm-based artist collective INGRID.
